The professional is the author. The software is a powerful tool pointed at goals a human defined, and the judgment in that aiming is the whole craft. KeisenVPA drafts; you read, you correct, you sign. It never signs for you, and it never files, sends or types anything into another system without your say-so.

It meets your material wherever it lives — dictation, screenshots of any screen, a scratchpad that stays on top (on macOS, over fullscreen apps too), the clipboard — and hands the result back through the one channel every system already supports. That is deliberate: capture pushed to the boundary of the practical, so KeisenVPA keeps working when a vendor changes an API or charges you for access to your own data.

Local first. Audio never leaves your computer. What goes to Claude goes as text (and the images, PDFs and other files you attach), straight from your machine to Anthropic, and none of your content passes through our servers — with your own key, and with a Healthcare key provisioned by Keisen, which is designed to run under Business Associate Agreements (Keisen is not yet provisioning practices under a BAA); the agreements page shows that chain. Live Translation — Listen to a podcast, a lecture or a conversation in one language and read it in two — as it is spoken on the Apple M4 Max we measured, behind the speaker on a CPU-only laptop (hardware). Transcribed on your computer, translated by Claude on your key, saved on your own disk. Word links, vocabulary with grammar labels and Anki export, speaker labels, listen-again, a Work offline switch. The heart of Linguist mode. In 5.0.0 on macOS; on Linux it runs from source, and the packaged Linux build does not include it yet.

Floating Scratchpad — A notepad that stays on top of everything on macOS, fullscreen apps included, where ordinary windows disappear. On Linux it asks the desktop to keep it on top; Wayland desktops, Ubuntu's default among them, may not honor that. Keep your working list floating over the screen you are reading, and check items off as you go. Big, adjustable text; one-click Copy All; an opacity slider. Toggle it with ⌘⇧N. Everything you type is saved automatically, locally, and restored the next time you open the pad.

Recording You Can Trust — The microphone is proven live before recording starts, a level meter shows what is being captured, and a NO SOUND banner interrupts a recording of silence while it happens. Recordings are named at save time and never overwritten.

Custom Template Packages — Create, edit, import, and export .kpkg template packages directly in the app. Build templates for your workflow and share them with colleagues.

One License, All Keisen Apps — A single license unlocks every Keisen app on the same machine, with a shared trial. Existing activations migrate automatically.

In Healthcare Mode — H&P, progress notes and discharge summaries that close with a teaching point, writer-aware templates, patient tabs with an identity check before a note is saved, and any EHR through screenshots and the scratchpad. Healthcare mode →
